Lent is the solemn religious observance in the liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends approximately six weeks later, before Easter Sunday. Lent is designed to help the disciple prepare for Easter through prayer, penance, repentance of sins, almsgiving, atonement, and self-denial. This year’s Lenten Season brings the blessing and sacrificial stewardship of Christ into sharp focus. Our Lenten preachers will preach Lent through the lens of stewardship and sacrifice. Our schedule has also been modified to make the most of our collective preparation for Easter. In addition to the Wednesday night services, Home-cooked Sunday Breakfasts will be offered throughout Lent, beginning March 10 – April 7 from 8:30 am to 9:15 am. Adults only $5 and children are free! Food and fellowship are the hallmarks of a healthy congregation. Come, join us and stay for a Lenten focused Bible Study.
